IMPORTANT!!!

As a result of the tsunami that devastated coastal areas of Sri Lanka in late December 2004, many coastal cities in the Southwestern, Southern, Eastern and Northern areas of Sri Lanka needed to undergo significant reconstruction.

Most major hotels in the Southwestern and Southern areas of Sri Lanka have completed their reconstruction and have re-opened, however, if you choose to travel to more remote coastal areas or coastal cities in the Eastern or Northern areas of Sri Lanka, you should contact hotels directly to assure accommodations are available.

Colombo and inland areas were NOT affected by the tsunami and offer excellent vacation opportunities for tourists to see the beauty and culture that Sri Lanka has to offer.  Traveling to these areas also helps the country recover from the recent catastrophe.

The owner of this web site has been actively involved in relief efforts in Sri Lanka and encourages you to support the charity of your choice to help those in need.
